Dublin-based edtech company Wriggle Learning has announced plans to create 90 new jobs across customer support, tech support, teaching, sales, and marketing by 2027, as it ramps up operations to meet surging demand for digital learning solutions in Irish schools.
Founded in 2012 as a sister company to Typetec, Wriggle supports over 150,000 students and teachers in more than 300 schools. It partners with global technology leaders including Apple, Google, Microsoft, Lenovo, and ASUS through its professional training platform, Wriggle Connect.
The firm’s flagship initiative, a one-to-one student device programme, equips each student with their own learning device. Wriggle aims to expand this to 400 post-primary schools and support 600,000 student devices within two years, targeting €50 million in annual revenue by 2027.
Chief learning officer Sean Glynn emphasised the focus on empowering teachers, stating, “Technology doesn’t transform education, teachers do.” CEO Paul Dooley added that Ireland’s ongoing Senior Cycle Reform will redefine learning and assessment, positioning one-to-one digital learning at its core.
The announcement comes as Ireland’s edtech ecosystem gains momentum, with 48 schools recently joining an AI pilot programme supported by Merlyn Mind and Trinity College Dublin’s Learnovate Centre, aimed at streamlining administrative tasks for educators.
Ireland’s edtech sector is increasingly viewed as a key driver of innovation in modern classrooms, and Wriggle Learning’s expansion signals a confident step toward a fully digital education model.
