Toomebridge-based glazing and façade specialist Topglass has delivered its largest aluminium window, door, and curtain walling project to date at the Northern Regional College (NRC) Ballymena campus in Northern Ireland.

The project, completed in partnership with Heron Bros, marks a milestone in the education sector, showcasing the company’s technical capacity to manage large-scale and complex educational developments.

“By continuing to invest in skills, innovation, and infrastructure, Topglass is setting new benchmarks in aluminium systems across the UK and Ireland,” said Hugh McCann, operations manager at Topglass.

The Ballymena project was made possible through strategic investment in personnel and production technology. Over the past year, Topglass increased its workforce by 40% and upgraded production equipment, supporting the assembly of record-breaking volumes of glazing and aluminium, including the Metal Technology systems specified on both campuses.

“The successful delivery of NRC Ballymena demonstrates both the strength of our partnership with Heron Bros and the growth of our production operations,” McCann added.

Building on this achievement, Topglass has commenced full production at the Ballycastle Shared Education Campus, again collaborating with Heron Bros to deliver another high-profile educational development in Northern Ireland.

Topglass forms part of the Rathbane Group and operates alongside MJM Marine, a global cruise ship refurbishment specialist, and Mivan, a leading fit-out business in luxury land and marine sectors. The company’s integrated approach to façade systems underscores its ability to serve complex projects across education, commercial, and marine industries.
