Queen’s University Belfast has been celebrated as a standout past winner at the Education Awards, securing both the Overall Excellence Award and Best Collaboration Project for its AIPEC initiative.

In awarding the top honour, judges praised Queen’s for its “outstanding achievements across research, teaching, innovation, and community impact.” The university’s ability to deliver excellence across multiple domains set it apart as a leader in higher education, not only in Ireland but internationally. This recognition underscores the institution’s role in shaping academic standards, advancing knowledge, and contributing to society at large.

The AIPEC project also earned the Best Collaboration Project award, with judges commending its innovative approach to interprofessional collaboration in healthcare. Described as “an excellent example of collaborative problem-solving through a well-structured consortium,” the initiative has strengthened teamwork across disciplines while contributing to improved patient outcomes—a timely achievement in a sector where integrated care is increasingly vital.
