Irish people and change consultancy Pinta has acquired executive mentoring and coaching platform Mentors.ie from the Brightwater and BPVA Group, as reported by Business Plus, investing more than €125,000 to fund workforce expansion and a renewed marketing drive as it scales the platform from a new Munster base.
The acquisition was led by Pinta co-managing directors Conor O'Geran and Pat Murphy, who will oversee the platform's expansion across Ireland, the UK, Europe and North America.
Founded in 2009, Mentors.ie connects professionals, executives and business owners with mentors and coaches offering practical, experience-based guidance. Since January, the platform's panel has grown from five mentors, primarily based in Dublin, to more than 20, with an expanded remit covering international markets.
The enlarged panel includes former non-executive directors of FTSE-listed companies, with collective expertise spanning finance, strategy, international scaling, management buy-out, personal resilience, leadership development and team dynamics, giving clients access to what Pinta describes as a complete virtual leadership team or advisory board.
O'Geran said the acquisition is designed to widen access to senior mentoring that smaller organisations and individual professionals typically cannot reach. "Mentors.ie has built something valuable, a platform that connects professionals and leaders with mentors who have real, hard-won experience to share," he said. "Our investment is about scaling that, significantly increasing the size and breadth of the panel so that more SMEs and more professionals, wherever they are based, can access the kind of senior guidance that's often out of reach."
He added that the quality of the expanded panel represents a direct benefit for clients from day one. "We're talking about mentors who have sat on the boards of major listed companies, scaled businesses internationally, and led through tough complexity," O'Geran said.
The investment positions Mentors.ie as a scalable professional development resource for the Irish SME market at a time when access to senior advisory expertise remains a structural challenge for smaller businesses competing in international markets.
