BAM UK & Ireland has secured Passivhaus certification for Dunfermline Learning Campus, now the world’s largest certified educational Passivhaus building. Housing Woodmill High School and St Columba’s RC High School under one roof, this project demonstrates how airtight design and energy efficiency can reshape education infrastructure. With airtightness recorded at 0.45m³/(hr-m³)@50Pa, the campus significantly cuts heat loss, driving down operational costs and creating healthier learning spaces.

Energy-efficient construction is no longer an aspirational target but an operational imperative – freeing budgets for teaching resources and strengthening climate commitments.
