Kaspersky has signed an MoU with Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia to enhance its Information Security Programme with global expertise, hands-on training, and real-world threat intelligence. The partnership supports Malaysia’s goal of building a sustainable cybersecurity workforce, addressing an urgent talent gap as ransomware detections surged 153% in 2024 and demand for 27,000 professionals looms by 2025.
With Malaysia’s cybersecurity market projected to reach US$2.17bn by 2030, the collaboration aims to equip graduates with in-demand skills, boost faculty capabilities, and improve employability while strengthening national digital resilience.
