Irish marine engineers gain first local certification under UK-aligned training

Nine engineers from six Irish Marine Federation (IMF) member firms have completed the first-ever British Marine Electrical Training (BMET) course held in Ireland. Delivered in Dun Laoghaire and aligned with UK and ISO marine standards, the course equips technicians with expertise in compliant electrical installations. This marks a milestone in IMF’s push for professional development in the Irish marine sector.
