Career Certified has acquired SeeWhy Learning, a Canadian leader in securities and insurance exam preparation, marking a significant expansion in the company’s multi-vertical education strategy. The partnership combines Career Certified’s platform and resources with SeeWhy Learning’s established student-focused model to deliver accessible and effective professional training.

SeeWhy Learning, founded in 2008, gained traction by simplifying complex financial topics using practical examples, memory aids, and clear language. Its approach keeps students engaged while preparing them for regulatory exams, resulting in over 150,000 Canadian learners successfully navigating licensing requirements. The acquisition ensures that this proven methodology continues while leveraging Career Certified’s investments in technology, compliance, and innovation.

The integration maintains SeeWhy Learning’s senior management and operational teams, allowing continuity in service while expanding offerings. New executive appointments include Jason Knell as VP of Corporate and Advanced Programs and Fatema Nazarali as VP of Sales and Service, strengthening leadership across strategic areas.

Gary Weiss, CEO of Career Certified, highlighted that the acquisition allows both companies to scale their reach without losing the student-centered culture that differentiates SeeWhy Learning. The combined entity aims to support Canadian learners during a critical period for the financial services sector, particularly following the exit of IFSE from the market.

The deal positions Career Certified to enhance its Centers of Excellence model, providing integrated, flexible learning solutions for the entire professional lifecycle. Students benefit from enhanced support, while employers gain access to a well-prepared talent pool equipped to meet industry demands.
