Recognised for its role as a digital innovation leader in 2025, An Cosán was named winner of the Most Innovative Digital Transformation category at the Education Awards 2025, celebrated for its pioneering digital literacy initiatives that empower marginalised communities across Ireland.

The organisation’s flagship programmes, including the Digital Stepping Stones tool, the Get Yourself Online campaign, and its e-learning platform, have successfully bridged the digital divide, providing learners with practical skills, confidence, and access to lifelong learning opportunities.

Complementing these initiatives, An Cosán has established a Digital Literacy Community of Practice to share expertise, resources, and best practices nationwide, ensuring sustainable impact across diverse communities.

Judges highlighted An Cosán’s innovative and targeted approach. “An Cosán has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to digital inclusion. The Digital Stepping Stones tool and ‘Get Yourself Online’ campaign combine thoughtful design with measurable outcomes, effectively empowering learners while addressing real-world barriers to digital literacy,” the panel said.

The recognition reflects the growing importance of digital transformation in education, where initiatives are judged not only on creativity and technology adoption but also on inclusivity, accessibility, and measurable impact. An Cosán’s achievement illustrates how purpose-driven innovation can transform lives, enhance skills, and strengthen resilience in marginalised communities.

With last year’s winners paving the way to the 2026 awards cycle, the question arises: which organisations will lead the next wave of innovation in digital learning, inclusion, and literacy development this year?

Finalists for the 2026 Education Awards will be announced on 12 February 2026. The awards gala will take place on 16 April 2026 at the Johnstown Estate, Enfield, Co. Meath.
